Fake Friends and Real Friends

Hello guys, it's Maria. I am back from a hiatus and I am very happy to be here again. We are changing the name of the blog and it's more personal for me. So, today I'd like to discuss about a real problem that we face everyday. You know what it is. Fake friends and real friends.
Fake friends do exist in our life. They come and go like the oxygen to our lungs. I have so many experiences about fake friends. They are so annoying and I feel so betrayed when I found out their real intention. Well I guess you already know that. But now, I am going to post some facts about fake friends and real friends.

(On the frame: Me (the left one) and my best friends since middle school. The picture was taken in Bedugul Lake, Bali, Indonesia at our tour back in middle school.)

Fake Friends: Always show up in front of your face, but never push you when you slow down.
We all know this. In our society, there's always someone who shows up in your front door asking for help, but when we show up at his/her doorstep, they want nothing to do with our problem-or even worse-shut you out. Or there's someone who wants you to do her homework, but the next day, when you get in a trouble, she will act like you don't even know each others. It does hurt.

Real Friends: Their number is too small and you can find them when you feel so down.
Have you ever felt so low like the world hates you for being you? How many people you know who stay behind to cheer you up? There will be some similarity within one another's answers. It doesn't matter if you have a thousand friends, what matters is that the irony of having a few around, when you're feeling low. I myself have trusted some friends, but they turned out two be a two faced human being. When I was rejected from an event, I thought those who I've been going out with will stay, but instead I found some people I am not close to, and they are the reason why I smile today.

Fake Friends: They are everywhere.
Just because you can find fake friends everywhere, you are free to think that the ones you meet in the street are fake. 'They are everywhere' means that they come to you like almost everytime, asking this, asking that, want you this, want you that, and when you want them to do a favor, they disappear like a ghost. Well, even ghost won't disappear that fast, they must be using 4G.
Being surrounded and being loved are a total different. You're surrounded doesn't always mean that you are loved. But when you're feeling loved, then you know that you're surrounded by good people. The more you feel surrounded, the more you know that they are not loyal. The more you feel loved, the more you know that even though there's a small crowd surrounding you, they are truly loyal to you.

Real Friends: Accept you for who you are.
People born differently. Big, small, tall, short, etc. It doesn't matter what they look like, you have to embrace the differences and befriends. What I really love about real friends is that they accept you for who you are. I myself have a bad habit of talking loud and having a sharp tongue, but my best friends are staying and they do remind me if my words come out too harsh. I feel being loved.
Having real best friends is wonderful. They won't talk behind you, and they will point out your bad action so that you can change for the better. It feels so good having a company without a pressure not to be yourself. You know you're surrounded by real friends when you feel like you don't have to hide behind a mask of perfection. Just be you.

Well, actually we still can find more REAL FRIENDS in our society and social surrounding. But if you can't find one, be one.

I'm so glad to share my experience in this post. Wait for another post about my experience. :)
XOXO Mary

Night Routine with Petroleum Jelly

Ciao friends! Welcome back to my blog post! Today I am going to tell you about my night routine with petroleum jelly. As we all know, petroleum jelly has so many uses, and it is widely used in cosmetic skin care. Now, I am gonna show you how I use this petroleum jelly (product by Vaseline). My night routine consists of brushing my teeth, washing my face, and dipping right into Vaseline petroleum jelly. The texture of this jelly is really soft and balm like. Apply a small amount of jelly on any areas that you desired.  Firstly, I use it for my lips. I have dry and chapped lips, so I apply this jelly, just a little bit, on them before bed, and when I wake up in the morning, my lips are no longer chapped. You need to do this every night as a routine for a better effect. Then, I too apply this jelly on some pimples on my face. Yes, I do have a problem with this for a while, and petroleum jelly finally helps me out. Those little pimples are little by little no lon...

Stockholm Syndrome as a Survival Instinct

Hi fellas! Been so long since my last post, and now I am back! I want to share something with you guys, and this actually is something that I've discovered for a while now. Hope you enjoy! Stockholm Syndrome as a Survival Instinct   Stockholm syndrome. Some of us may have heard those two words. Maybe from a song title whose a songwriter used as the song’s inspiration, or maybe from several fictions on reading sites like Wattpad. But actually, does Stockholm syndrome exist? Let’s check this out! The origin of the syndrome itself was a bank robbery in Stockholm, Sweden, back in August 23rd 1973, including the hostage of four people within 131 hours. At that time, the unusual phenomenon occurred. One of the hostages, Kristin Enmark (23), was actually ‘bonding’ emotionally with the captor. She even confronted and feared the police when they were being rescued. She then confessed her dislike towards the police and defended the captors on the local radio. Later in th...

So Good Album does Sound so Good

Hello there! Been so long since my last music review, and it was about Zayn Malik's Pillowtalk . Phew! I've been gone for so long, but now I decided to be more active in running this blog. As you can see, my blog has just been renewed and I am pretty satisfied with the new theme. So, in this post I'm going to give my opinion about this (kinda new) album from Swedish singer, Zara Larsson. I am pretty sure that you have heard about her before.     Few weeks ago, I discovered an album in Spotify. See, I wasn't really aware of new musics until I made a Spotify account. I have heard about Zara Larsson before, but not sure which song of hers that I've heard. So, I decided to listen to Ain't My Fault as it was pretty much people's jam. Turned out that the tune was so good and it stayed in my head for days. Then I listened to the entire album and fell in love instantly. I bought the CD here . But if you are not from Indonesia and willing to purchase...
